Research has shown that 9-1-1 professionals report high levels of work-related stress. Further, research in the past five years has shown that 9-1-1 professionals are also at risk for post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and depression, as well as physical health ailments. This webinar provides definitions of stress and how it can impact your health, and then differentiate stress from PTSD. The importance of knowing the difference in terms of seeking informal and formal assistance will be discussed, as well as tips for dealing with work-related stress.
